About
I'm a completely self-taught (still learning) illustrator from New
York City, and have always loved drawing and anything that has to do with
comics, cartoons and animation. Way back in the 90's I made the decision that I
was going to actually make a living doing this stuff.
I freelanced for years at NYC ad agencies as a photoshop
and vector artist while building my illustration portfolio, eventually getting
enough clients to work from my home studio full time. Fast forward to now,
I'm still doing it and still love it!
I've worked on thousands of jobs over the years and have completed
numerous cartoon and comics-inspired projects for such top brands as Lego,
Hasbro, Scholastic, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and major ad agencies such as McCann
Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, FCB, Grey, Havas and many others.
I consider it a privilege to have this job. Keeping my art
director happy is my number one concern. Along with, you know –
creating awesome artwork! I make a point of being extremely
easy to work with and guarantee professional, courteous and attentive
service every time. I have never missed a deadline.
I welcome all work inquiries – email me any time at kennyk@kennyk.com or
call (917) 686-0861 during regular business hours to discuss your project. No
job is too big or too small as far as I'm concerned, because from
corporate campaigns to personal commissions - I've already done it all! Get
in touch, and let's work together!
Kenny Kiernan Illustration Studio is currently located in

children.
---- Testimonial love for Kenny Kiernan Illustration
Studio! ----
I've
worked with Kenny for several years at Scholastic on Lego City books and
Kenny creatively delivers, every time! He goes above and beyond
expectations with his strong layout skills and beautiful illustrations, and he
understands the Lego City Style Guide.
We
have very few artists who understand the Lego City style guide and it's
difficult get approval from our Licensor; but his work has always been an
exception, which is why I recommend Kenny without hesitation, and look
forward to working with him again.

Kenny’s
clean, energetic style works so well on illustrative projects from
patient-friendly posters and comic books, to videos for sales rep meetings.
It’s so easy to download him on what needs to get done in such a small amount
of time. After a mere phone call, he gets on YOUR page — like a vulcan mind
meld — it’s really amazing.
He’s
so excited to work on new things, and is always at the ready to meet demanding
time constraints. Kenny's got that rare ability to be artistically talented,
but disciplined with time. I’ve never been disappointed by his work and doubt
anyone can be.

I
started working with Kenny Kiernan way back in 2000, when he designed the
well-known J-14 Girl mascot character we still love and use today. His
editorial illustration work for Bauer Publishing has always been top-notch.
Kenny knows how to stage a scene and creates fun, engaging characters with
humor, personality and a youthful energy that makes them jump off the page.
Consistently professional, easy to work with, and always delivers on time.
Talented guy, and highly recommended!

I
have worked with Kenny K on many Outcast Otter projects and am always happy
with Kenny's outstanding work and attention to details. He is a superb comic
artist and the first one I call for new characters.

My
experience with Kenny far exceeded my expectations! He was easy to work with
and truly made the characters in my book come to life. I could not be more
pleased with the outcome of this book, and look forward to continuing our
endeavors on future projects.

Kenny
has illustrated several projects where I was the art director. He's extremely
talented, smart and knows exactly how to capture ideas with his illustrations.
His craftsmanship is impeccable—there's not one stray point on his vectors.
He's also reliable with schedules, and a pleasure to deal with. I hope to work
with Kenny again in the future!
